When we compete to improve lives, we all win!

“Representing the Enactus Netherlands in the Enactus World Cup in Silicon Valley two weeks ago was without any doubt one of the most inspiring and enriching experiences I have ever had. In three days, universities from 35 different countries came together to share with the 3,500 other students, business partners and advisors, their achievements of the past months. With the idea “doing well, by doing good”, Enactus students are truly changing the world by creating sustainable start ups that have at their core empowering the people in their local community. Congratulations for Enactus Canada for finishing in the first place of the competition and to Enactus Egypt, for being runners-up and for their project Blossom. I am extremely lucky for having been able to experience the collaboration, cultural and ideas exchange in such event, and I am looking forward to next year’s edition! “When we compete to improve people’s lives, #WeAllWin“” (Paula Bertomeu Quevedo – Presentatieteam)

“My journey from Enactus National Competition to Enactus World Cup in 2018 was truly one crazy ride. The preparation started in April 2018, of which the challenging process of writing the script began. I have learned and grown so much as a person, from presenting in front of the professional judges, working side by side with my dedicated team, and meeting amazing individuals from around the world in the World Cup. I’m more than grateful to have made this journey with these people, and I cannot wait to see the progress I will be making from now on!” -Khanh Tran (Presentatieteam)

“With Canada winning the Enactus Worldcup 2018 yesterday, the Worldcup has come to an end. The past three days were really inspiring, meeting so many people and seeing such different projects!” (Wouter Verberne – Externe Relatie Manager – Enactus Utrecht)

“We are not focused on being or doing less bad, but rather on being good, if not great. This generation of social entrepreneurs is not content to just give a fish or teach people how to fish. More importantly, this generation will not rest until they have managed to revolutionize the entire fishing industry.

Some even like to say the future of our burning planet lays in the hands of Enactus students. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if it is the case. Seeing teams from all over the globe coming together at the Enactus World Cup in San Jose earlier this month, it is not only inspirational but also hopeful that the planet and all the social issues that come along with it, can be changed.” (Tom Hollestelle – Alumnus EUR)
