With great pleasure we announce the newest member of the board of Enactus Netherlands; Renée van Geel! She will join Chris Heutink, Sjoerd Laarberg, Suzanne Jungjohann and Eugène Sterken in the most Enactified board. But who is Renée van Geel? And what is her connection with Enactus? Find out below!

Who is Renée van Geel?
My name is Renee van Geel, I am 39 years old, happily married to Michel and mother of daughter Fenne (13) and son Luca (11). I live in a small village in the south of the Netherlands and love the peace and nature around me.
I have been working at Rabobank for almost twelve years now and still every day with great pleasure. In my current role of Senior Lead Recruitment & Matching I am responsible for the staffing of Rabobank. In this role I lead a management team of five passionate managers and, together with approximately 85 matchers and recruiters, I am committed to ensuring that Rabobank attracts the right people to achieve its goals.
What is your connection with Enactus?
About three years ago I came into contact with Enactus. In addition to the fact that there was a clear connection between the mission of Enactus and the mission of Rabobank, I also immediately felt a connection with my own values. One of the reasons to have enjoyed working at Rabobank for 12 years is the connection I feel with Rabobank’s mission Growing a better World together.
There are three values in this mission that I feel connected to. First “To Grow”; develop yourself as a leader, develop your team and develop ideas and plans. Secondly, “a Better World”; being committed to making the world better every day. And thirdly “Together”; learning together, working together, having fun together and be successful together. These values are close to me and are also an important part of the development programs and projects that the students of Enactus are working on every day.
Why are you excited to take on this board position?
I had been looking for a board position for some time. In this board position I would like to develop and learn as a board member and at the same time contribute to an organization with which I feel connected. This position at Enactus immediately felt good. I look forward to working with Nancy, the other board members and all the Enactus future leaders to make the world a better place.
