Enactus Students! SDG Excursions are your opportunity to explore the Netherlands’ innovations on the SDGs—a set of different experiences which will combine business site visits and cultural immersion. This is an exclusive experience you do not want to miss out on! Each excursion has a capacity of 50 students so register early!

Excursion 1: Louwman Museum by Louwman
SDGs Explored:
100 years of entrepreneurial history and 150 years of technology, innovation, beauty and speed!
Louwman Group is a proud and involved family-owned business, established in 1923. It started small and got big with entrepreneurship and daring. Not simply as an importer and retailer, but now also as a supplier of healthcare assistive aids, a financial service provider and a developer of innovative mobility solutions.
As a family business, Louwman considers itself responsible for both today’s generation and future generations. With a social function in addition to their commercial one, Louwman feels responsible to build long-term relationships with each other, their customers, and their partners.
During this excursion to the Louwman Museum in The Hague we will pay attention to Transport innovation and Entrepreneurship in relation to mobility, sustainable cities, energy usage, and future developments, both in the presentations and discussion, as well as in the museum visit (included in this program). All in the light of the vision of Louwman: ‘Passion to move people’! Good to know about the location: the Louwman Museum in The Hague is the museum of the automobile with the largest privately-owned collection of cars in The Netherlands, with a rich (3-level) history representing 150 years of innovation in mobility. Excursion 2: Farm of the Future by Rabobank & Cosun

Rabobank & Cosun are inviting you to get a glimpse of the future of agriculture.
Are you eager to understand what is happening at the forefront of agricultural innovation? Join us to explore “The Farm of the Future” in Lelystad. This is the test and playground of the best Agriculture and Forestry University in the world; the University of Wageningen. During this excursion you will get an understanding of how innovations work in practice to optimize crop yields in a sustainable and circular way.
“At the Farm of the Future, we want to demonstrate how you too could be growing crops in a fully sustainable way in the near future. When we say sustainable, we mean regenerative, productive and resilient. This type of farming is characterized by closed-loop recycling, high levels of biodiversity, minimal environmentally harmful emissions, no fossil fuels (eventually), assured and sufficient incomes for farmers!” – The Farm of the Future
Did you know that The Netherlands are the biggest agricultural produce exporter in the world after the US ?(Check out this video!) We were able to achieve this position due to close cooperation between farmers, universities, the Dutch government and banks.

Excursion 3: Innovative Technology and Labor Participation by Confed, Amfors, & the City of Amersfoort

Step into the world of innovative technology and labor participation by joining Confed’s excursion!
Confed is a growing high-tech company with a heart for people and technology. As a full-fledged private social enterprise with a nationwide network of production sites, they pursue multiple SDGs in their strategy. Confed will take you along three SDGs during the excursion—decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation and infrastructure and reduced inequalities. And how? Well… not only will CEO Peter Hobbelen tell you about how to pursue labor participation within a company, you also get the chance to try some new technologies and social innovations with the Amfors Inclusive Fieldlab! These new technologies and social innovations are developed to contribute to a better connection between the regular labor market and people who are at a distance from it. I mean.. have you ever seen an Exoskeleton before? And this is not all Amersfoort has to offer. As this excursion continues with an impactful city walk, showcasing even more social enterprises based in Amersfoort. Ending with a visit to the SDG Hub in the old court of the city!
