The Board Academy of 2021 started in Amsterdam. Fresh and motivated new board members came to the event to get inspired and prepared for the upcoming Enactus year. But they were not the only ones that were excited about the event; we, as Enactus Netherlands, could not wait to meet all in person!
Welcomed with an Enactified tompouce, the new board members kicked off their board year for real. Nancy, our Country Director, shared her Enactus story and helped those in the room who hadn’t already done that with starting their own. She was followed by Chiara and Alex who gave a sneak preview of the new Enactus Connect platform. This platform will connect everything that is part being an Enactus teams in the Netherlands.
The second part of the program of the first day consisted of the introduction of the Futureproof Incubator and the inspiration of Too Good To Go. And just before leaving to the hostel and dinner, we danced the excitement off! The first day was successfully finished off by the amazing Enactus Netherlands Pubquiz where all students performed exceptionally well; our quizmaster was really impressed!
The second day started the first Boost Your Mission hosted by Coen de Vries. All students encountered the insights discovery. Simultaneously, a teambuilding session was hosted. Spaghetti towers were built, dancing was present again but most of all a lot of confusion with blindfolds and robes. Just look at the pictures and you will feel the chaos. Deeper connections were also made during the function specific workshops. This did not only give the students a connected feeling, we at Enactus Netherlands did too.
Just as every event starts, it also ends at some point. This year’s Board Academy ended with a quick group reflection and closing drinks. And then, it was the time to wave goodbye. The Enactus year has officially started.
Connected, Enactified and motivated the new board members start their Enactus year. We, at Enactus Netherlands, cannot wait to see what impactful actions they will take. But mostly, we feel extremely grateful to be part of their Enactus journey. Let that journey begin!
